Education is no longer what it used to be. It is getting redefined with each passing day, thanks to the increasing use of modern technology. E-learning and internet education are the new buzzwords which are changing the face of conventional methods of teaching and learning. In tune with the momentum of changing educational technology, Herbert School introduces Computer Science as one of the optional Science subjects at +2 level under the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur. The computer lab is equiped with 12 laptops with LAN and internet facility. The department is manned by experienced and dedicated faculty member assisted by a computer operator. In recognition of the distinguished service rendered by the School in imparting Computer Education in the State,The 2nd Computer Literacy Excellence Awards for the School-2003 was awarded by the President of India , on the 4th August 2004
